SHORT-SIGHTEDNESS

Short-sightedness or myopia occurs when the incoming light rays do not meet on the retina. Instead they focus in front of the retina. This makes distant objects appear blurred. The most frequent cause of short-sightedness is the eyeball tends to be long.

Glasses, contact lens and laser techniques are used to correct short-sightedness.
